The folded Lines

This series of artworks draws inspiration from both the Japanese art of origami and the Italian artistic movement Spatialisme, exemplified by Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni.

In my paintings, I strive to impart sculptural qualities by creating a three-dimensional spatial illusion on the canvas through painting and folding the fabric. The works combine traditional painting techniques with craftsmanship.

Folded from hardened fabric, unlike traditional paper origami, these artworks are defined by the frame which serves as a focal point, defining the rhythm and form of the artwork within its boundaries while simultaneously calming it.
